Dan founded the firm based on the premise that money is a tool that when used properly can help accomplish what matters most to each of us. As a young boy, Dan learned very early the value of saving and responsible planning working in his father’s printing shop in Detroit Michigan. As a teenager he learned the business and spent many weekends and summers manning the machines in the shop, even working full time while attending Wayne State. That experience became the basis for his beliefs about the purpose of money and is the foundation for his firm. Clients can expect Dan to keep what is most important to them at the forefront of each conversation.
Drawing upon 40 years of financial planning experience, clients rely on Dan to educate them on their options and to never be in a hurry in a conversation. They can expect him to be responsive, interested and engaged as he guides them with proactive financial management and realistic goal planning.
Dan took an interest in learning the Insurance business after his father suggested a meeting with their biggest client at the printing shop. He applied the same motivation at The Equitable by being the first agent to receive a series #7 stock broker’s license and the youngest ever to be inducted in their prestigious Hall of Fame. Dan spent most of his early career at Equitable and later founded Thomas Financial Group in 1994.
Dan currently resides in Lake Orion. He enjoys traveling with his wife Nancy, golf, boating and spending time with his seven beautiful grandchildren.
